A) It is clear that the ad is analyzing the ad in question. Original paragraph included the strategies used. The revised paragraph is well written but might be better if it included the strategies used. Something like this? --> "..through rhetorical strategies such as exigencies, pathos, and enthymemes."
B)Yes, I think the thesis is the first sentence, "In a recent study done by A.C. Nielsen Co, Americans watch 250 billion hours of TV a year; Americans spend nine years of their lives watching television or 4 hours of television a day."
C) It is apparent to me that you think dull and monotonous commercials waste (time) and money.
You stated this point well with, "However, young adults tend to mute the television during commercials, thus being a waste of money for the company."
The ad is important to think through because the ad is unique in that it uses pop culture to imply to imply that, not only the car is better, but that the company is a contemporary one.

The piece is an interesting/important one. One thing about the paragraph is that the subject of the paper is not introduced and that it appears only at the end of the paragraph. Enough of the Negative Nelly... I do like the sentence (And the concept around it) in which Kia Soul appears, "With the Kia Soul commercial, the company uses other popular trends to imply their car is the one to buy"
