Research Questions:
- How did Electronic Dance Music rise in popularity? (Who was involved with this trend?)
- How does "rave culture" compare to the "hippy culture" that we saw in the 70s?
- In what ways could the rise of EDM benefit us economically? Socially?

Audience
This primarily appeals to a young audience of my generation who are a part of or are interested in the concept of rave culture.
Purpose
My purpose is to explore different reasons proving that EDM (Electronic Dance Music) is on the rise. I will start by evaluating popular trends in music now a days... For example, hip hop, rap, and r and b are hugely popular in America. One growing trend I have noticed is the use of famous DJ's making dance electronic music is appearing in this rap, hip hop, and r and b industry. There for these artists beats are being heard by the number 1 music consumers in America, and their names are in fact mentioned in the song's titles. I will then analyze the growing number of electronic music shows and festivals, and compare this to trends in the 70's where music festivals were huge, and similar music culture was being demonstrated. Rave culture vs. hippy culture, for example Woodstock vs. Electric Forest (two music festivals form now and then.) I will then explore the economic as well as social benefits that this rave culture provides for our metro are and our youth.
